1. Holes novel- read to page 50 by tuesday if possible.
2. Poetry- work on pictures and colors for all poems.
3. Next Friday, we will have some activities with full CANS...soup cans, chili cans, sauce cans, etc.. We will do some soup can science and art with the full cans. We will then place them in a box and bring to the Food Bank closer to Christmas. Students can bring in 1, 2, 3 or more cans(and other food like pasta if you like), and only if they are able. In addition to us creating a Food Bank box of food, we will also make a small donation with whatever loonies and twoonies come in. I will start the fund with my 10 twoonies and hope that some kids are able to bring in one loonie or twoonie each to contribute. I know many of you do special things for those with much less at Christmas, so please do not feel that you have to send in anything. I will bring extra cans if you choose not to send any. No problem. 5. Puzzles Friday if possible!
6. Report cards sent out Friday.

1. Contractions sentences- up to #20- due Wednesday....most finished.
2. Math grade 5- pg 85, gr. 4- pg. 239- due Thursday....most finished.
3. Poetry- long term project, now on term 2 part- check off ones you have completed on your checklist. Get pictures, color, etc. done for all when possible in class or home.
4. DARE grad- 2:00 to 2:30; don't come too early or you will be waiting in hallway. Come to Gym. Thanks.

1. DARE Grad ceremony in Gym, 2:00-2:30- Parents invited for some cake!
2. Paragraph #1 in Term 2- due Tuesday. Use dictionary, computer, etc. to edit and hand in your best writing.
3. Review Math sheet is due Tuesday.
4. Math grade 4- pg 237, gr. 5 pg 83- due Tuesday.
5. Special Friday- Puzzle competitions, bring puzzles if possible.

3. All DARE paragraphs were typed and handed in today. We had to make quite a few revisions based on my paragraph expectations, but they are ready now!
DARE graduation 20 minute ceremony in gym is next week, Wednesday, April 27th in afternoon. I am waiting on exact time and will blog it soon. Feel free to come watch. If you cannot make it, no worries.

Friday, Nov. 15
1. Picasso art- due Tuesday.
2. Poetry project- We have finished 9-10 poems so far. We have done first draft of each, have had checked by teacher, have typed final draft, and put pictures and color on each ready to string together as a collection. WE will be doing about 5 more types of poems. Some kids are all up to date. A few kids are missing many poems from their Poetry collection. They will need to figure out what they are missing and get the poems done by end of project!
3. Thanks for the book trade. I got some books for the class library out of the deal, although they cost me some candy!! I hope the kids enjoyed it.

4. Special Friday- Focus on Reading! If allowed, you may also bring comics, magazines, novels and books to try your luck at trading. If you are allowed, you can also donate to class library so all students can enjoy each day of year. You do not have to participate in the TRADE!

2. Math test- all...STUDY! Friday.
3. French tests signed and returned if possible.
4. Math grade 4- 227, gr. 5-pg 69-due Friday. Most kids done.
5. Last chance for bonus points for cue card handed in: Friday. Most kids already handed in.
6. Rats project in duotang- hand in Friday. Most kids are all done.
7. Wendys orders- due tomorrow...Friday. They were given out today!
